What Video Player does iBN Sports use?

iBN Sports has recently adopted Silverlight for our player and we are excited about all the possibilities this technology brings to us. If you have not yet installed Silverlight you will need to either click on the Silverlight icon in the player window to start the install or go to: Silverlight Installation page at Microsoft to begin the installation and enjoy Silverlight content across the web.

With our Silverlight player intel based Macs should be able to enjoy all of our content after installing the Silverlight Plugin from Microsoft.

I run a Power-PC MAC, how can I watch Windows Media Videos?

Unfortunately Silverlight does not currently support Power-PC based Macs. We will maintain a windows media player version of our main page here: www.ibnsports.com/defaultwmp.aspx. You will be able to watch any non-GeoBlocked content here.

Power-PC MAC users have 2 options to view Window Media video files. A version of Windows Media Player for MAC can be obtained from Microsoft by clicking here.

Power-PC MAC users may also play windows media files directly in Quicktime by using Flip4Mac, which you can download from here.

We highly recommend only using one of these solutions. We have had customer issues with playback when both Windows Media Player and Flip4Mac were installed.
